“This album is not meant to be overtly Christian in theme or presentation, but moreso delivering an amoral slant to a storyline communicated through hip-hop. Deacon’s life growing up as the son of a preacher definitely led us to some of the insights and story molding that went on when we were making and recording the album, but as most moderate Christians will tell you…you have to relate the material as generally as possible without preaching and talking down to people. APOS wasn’t meant to teach faith-infused lessons neccesarily, but simply to deliver a story.” – Kno

Amazing. I hadn’t really put the tracks together, then I read some of the info on this site, and i was just hit by the album. Possibly one of the greatest lyrical works ever. This shit is on another level

I always thought this album is one of the greatest hip/hop albums ever made and that this band are really special. Just thinking about this whole album as a concept album just blows me away even more. Awe-inspiring.

Just wanted to let you know these lyrics from your lyrics page for Brain Cell were incorrect…

    You put…
“You wonder if it’s love you feel,
I just comfort till time rolls by. ”

    It’s really…
“You wonder if it’s love you feel,
    Or just comfortable compromise”

Thanks for putting up this site man, it allowed me to experience APOS in a whole new way and made it that much better for me.
